You must have proprietary driver installed for the AMD card.


We tried the open-source drivers with an AMD card and the Mesa drivers did not properly support certain features of OpenGL. This prevented any of our data from rendering properly with those drivers.


As an example, the latest version of the driver for RX580 is from April 16, 2020 and supports RHEL/CENTOS 8.1 and Ubuntu 18.04.
